Let's take on the mighty Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK via the more challenging and much more beautiful CMD Arête which is said to be the finest way to climb Ben Nevis!
This truly spectacular and varied mountain day incorporates two Munros - Càrn Mòr Dearg and Ben Nevis, the traverse along the Arête which links the two Munros is considered a Grade 1 scramble.
🎒Kit List
Waterproof jacket & trousers
Backpack with waterproof liner or cover
Hiking trousers
Hiking boots or shoes
Gloves and warm hat
Sun cream, sun hat & sunglasses
Midlayer fleece or jacket
Insulated jacket either down or synthetic
Packed lunch, snacks and plenty of water for the day
🚅Getting there
The exact meeting point will be provided with your booking confirmation.
Trains and buses run to Fort William which is near the start of the walk. There is plenty of accommodation in the area, such as hostels, campsites and B&Bs, please let me know if you need any recommendations.
Travel to and from the event and accommodation are not included.
✨Important Information
Please Note - This hike is a challenging 11 miles with 1506m of ascent including a Grade 1 scramble. Prior mountain experience essential.
We will meet in at 08:00am and hope to be back at our meeting point by 5pm, however, this is an estimate.
