Itinerary 📅

Friday - Blà Bheinn

Today we will hike  hike to the summit of the mighty Blà Bheinn (Blaven) which translates to 'Blue Mountain'. Blà Bheinn is a great hulk of a mountain on the majestic Isle of Skye which sits isolated from the Cuillin Ridge. This hike is 5 miles long with an ascent of 990m, the ascent itself follows a good mountain path initially but later becomes rough with steep, loose scree and some mild scambling. Suitable to those with prior hillwalking experience.  There are some stunning swimming pools if you wish to take a dip on the return! :)

Our journey is an out and back route of 5 miles (20km) and with an ascent of 990m. Loose, steep scree and some mild scrambling.

Saturday - Bruach na Frìthe

Today's aim is to hike to the summit of Bruach na Frìthe on the mighty Cuillin Ridge! Bruach na Frìthe offers one of the most finest viewpoints of the entire Cuillin Ridge. This route is 8.5 miles long with an ascent of 947m, some parts of the route are on pathless terrain, there is some very steep scree to negotiate, rocky terrain and some minor scrambling all making for a very fun day indeed! The route is suitable for those with prior hillwalking experience.

The hike is 8.5 miles long with an ascent of 947m. Some minor scrambling and steep scree.

Sunday - Sgùrr na Strì

Whilst this mighty little peak might only be 494m in height, it certainly proves that when it comes to mountains, size really does not matter! Reaching the peak requires a long and rugged walk down the beautiful Glen Sligachan where we will be surrounded by the Cuillin and peaks such as Marsco, but the rewards are nothing short of immense! It is even said that the views from the summit over Loch Coruisk and the sea are the finest views in all of Britain!

The hike is 14.5 miles in total with an ascent of 645m.
