Take on the Ben Macdui Round with Sacred Mountain Guiding! This is a challenging 16.5 mile route (26.5km) with 1737m of ascent! Set in the stunning Cairngorms National Park, this mega route takes in a whopping 4 of the Cairngorms Munros –
Ben Macdui (1309m) – The second highest mountain in Scotland standing at 1309m! Ben Macdui translates to ‘MacDuffs Mountain’ based on the likely historical ownership of the land by the McDuff family
Cairngorm (1245m) – The 6th highest mountain in Scotland! Cairngorm translates to ‘Blue Mountain’
Derry Cairngorm (1155m) – Its name translates to ‘Blue Cairn of the oak thicket’ and is known for its large granite boulder field
Bheinn Mheadhoin (1182m) – Its name translates to ‘middle mountain’ and is one of the most remote mountains in the Cairngorms!
This Round makes for the most incredible tour of the northern area of the Cairngorms including the hidden but stunningly beautiful Loch Avon and the shelter stone. Our views will extend out to the magnificent Braeriach Ridge, offering panoramic views of the central area of the Cairngorms.
