I had the pleasure of joining Heather in her first guided hike around the stunning Yorkshire Dales, whilst we were undertaking the 3 Peak Challenge, you wouldn’t have thought this as Heather ensured the group were all looked after with stories and little reminder to look after ourselves with snacks and drinks, whilst we were taking in the marvel of the Dales, Heathers knowledge and professionalism shone through in keeping the group on track with the Challenge and ensuring it supported each other in achieving its aim of completing the Y3P Challenge whilst we all took in the splendour of this piece of Yorkshire. Highly recommend to anyone doubting their ability, but needs a friendly and trustworthy guide to see them through a challenge to appreciate the great open spaces we have across the UK.

I had a great pleasure to join two of Heather hikes on Isle of Skye and it was a wonderful experience. Heather is really great, deeply knows and loves the mountains she’s taking people to and instantly creates easy rapport with everyone. On both hikes despite at times challenging weather conditions (pouring rain and fog) I felt super safe, had lots of fun and most importantly I had certainty that I can reach the summit, Heather has the great quality of putting people at ease and her guidance is very helpful. Both Blá Bheinn and Bruach na Frith have tricky moments and can be quite challenging mountains I wouldn’t hike on my own up there for the first time, but hiking with Heather showed me that they’re both within my reach if I’d like to go back there on my own.

Highly recommend!

I had the absolute pleasure of spending a day with Heather as part of a small group she was leading on Bidean Nam Bian in Glen Coe. I knew the day was going to be challenging but Heather was warm and friendly from the start and made me feel completely at ease about what lay ahead. Her knowledge of and love for the mountains was evident throughout and she led with confidence and professionalism, giving encouragement where needed and ensuring our safety all the way. Although safety was always the priority the day was enhanced by our frequent laughter and banter which turned a great day into a fantastic one and by the time we got down it felt like we were old friends. I feel a big difference in my confidence on the hills following this day and wouldn't hesitate to join Heather again as part of a group. I would highly recommend Heather to anyone looking to boost their confidence on the hills, embrace a new challenge, or tackle a hill they wouldn't feel comfortable doing by themselves. Thank you again Heather for a wonderful day!

I had the pleasure of hiking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks today with the most incredible mountain guide. Her knowledge of the area and calm presence made us feel completely safe and confident throughout the hike.

I had so much trust in her guidance and really felt like we were in the best possible hands. It was more than just a hike—it was an experience made special by someone who clearly loves what she does and genuinely cares about others. I can’t recommend her highly enough. If you’re looking for a mountain guide, do yourself a favour and go with her. You won’t regret it.

I had the most amazing day hiking the Yorkshire 3 peak challenge with Heather and a wonderful group of people. Heather was incredible and put me at ease immediately before and during the hike - and motivating us every step of the way! It was such a fantastic experience, I spent my birthday in the most special way and Heather really made the experience for me with her kindness, support and energy. I can’t wait to join her again for another day hiking. I cannot recommend her enough, such a brilliant guide and person, who clearly has a passion for the outdoors and for others.
Thank you Heather, until next time! S, England

Fantastic hike with Heather on Bruach na Frithe on Isle of Skye. Visibility wasn’t great and the midges were out but thoroughly enjoyed it! Heather was so positive and encouraging and her expertise enabled us to reach the summit. There was no pressure with pace and we stopped for snacks and rest whenever we felt like it. Heather has such a connection to the outdoors and mountains! She is very down to earth and easy going and I felt very at ease on the hike. There was 3 of us and Heather on the day, it was great company and a pleasure to meet the others. It was lovely it was a small group as I was a bit apprehensive about a larger group. From the initial booking Heather was friendly and informative above the hike and any questions I had she replied very quickly. I highly recommend Heather for a hiking adventure! I have already booked my next adventure with her!

I originally saw an advert for Heather’s 3 day trip to Knoydart and it got me thinking. I last visited Knoydart 26 years ago and it was a place I had always wanted to return to. Knoydart can only be reached by boat or by walking in across the Rough Bounds.  I nearly scrolled past Heather’s post on Instagram , but decided to message her. I am so pleased I did. I joined Heather in April for an incredible three days of hiking and wild camping through some of the most remote and dramatic scenery Scotland has to offer. We were blessed by incredible weather. The first night we camped in what was almost a massive natural amphitheatre, surrounded by herds of deer on both sides in an incredible glen. The second night we camped by the coast with views and a sunset that were simply mind blowing. The last night we celebrated in Britain’s remotest pub (which although remote does really good food and beer).  Heather was a brilliant guide. She knew the route like the back of her hand, was always great fun, was full of interesting information and really made the trip.  I had not done wild camping before, but Heather loaned me a great (and very light!) one man tent and walking poles, and was full of tips of what to bring/not bring. If you are curious about seeing an incredible part of Scotland, or want to set yourself a challenge, or just try something different then you really should contact Heather to find out more.  I can’t recommend Heather and Sacred Mountain Guiding enough. I am now a week out from our epic Knoydart trek with Heather. Parts still seem surreal. Heather is so passionate about the outdoors and what she does, I can’t help but think back on all of it with a smile and I cannot recommend Sacred Mountain Guiding enough. I was challenged in ways I never thought possible but the entire experience was joyful, encouraging, awe inspiring, and full of compassion and love. Heather is the catalyst behind all of it and I am forever grateful. 💚🗻🥾

So grateful to Heather for leading me on two adventures so far. From munros to the Y3P it has been nothing short of rewarding experiences. Heather guides with so much ease and compassion and her passion for the outdoors is a constant glow of radiant energy. You can chat like you've known her forever and the adventures are always full of such hilarious banter. Sacred Mountain guiding...I wouldn't choose anyone else now. I cant wait for more adventures ❤️
