Join Sacred Mountain Guiding on a once in a lifetime wild camping journey in the incredible Cairngorms National Park. Over the two days, with one nights wild camp, we will hike the challenging and remote Cairn Toul Traverse which is a mega 22.5 mile/ 36km hike with around 1820m of elevation!!! We will summit four of the Cairngorms Munros during our hike -
The Devil's Point (1004m)
Cairn Toul (1291m)
Sgòr an Lochain Uaine (1258m)
Braeriach (1296m)
Our magical journey will see us follow the edge of the Cairngorms artic-alpine plateau with the most incredibly dramatic corries! It is also extremely remote & oh so vast! We might also be lucky enough to spot the Cairngorm reindeer herd, the only herd of free-ranging reindeer in the UK! Heather manged to to see them on her last traverse and it was just magical! 🦌✨ Our approach via the notorious Chalamain Gap ~ a natural gorge & boulderfield which needs some surefootedness!
Please note ~ The weather will largely determine which way around we tackle this circular route :)
