Our Community Hikes are not only designed as an introduction to Sacred Mountain Guiding but also to bring together likeminded outdoorsy folk to form long lasting friendships & connections through this sacred community🤝✨Together we will meet and walk regularly throughout the year 🥾

☀️COMMUNITY HIKE #1 ~ MAM TOR & THE GREAT RIDGE SUNRISE HIKE! ☀️

Join us for Community Hike #1! Together we will hike from the beautifully quaint village of Castleton in the Peak District up onto the Great Ridge and onward to the summit of Mam Tor to hopefully (weather permitting) catch the most incredible sunrise!!! ☀️ Whilst we cant guarantee a sunrise, we can guarantee lots of laughter, chat and just a wholesome time all round! :)

The views from the ridge and Mam Tor are just incredible! 😍 Be sure to wrap up warm for the day as it will likely be a chilly one! Bring a hot drink in a flask too - you will be grateful for it! :)

We recommend you taking some time to explore the village of Castleton before your return home, too! :)

Waterproof jacket & trousers

Backpack with waterproof liner or cover

Hiking trousers

Hiking boots or shoes

Gloves and warm hat

Sun cream, sun hat & sunglasses

Midlayer fleece or jacket

Headtorch

Insulated jacket either down or synthetic

Snacks, water, flask of hot drink

🚅Getting there

The exact meeting point will be provided with your booking confirmation. Buses run to the village of Castleton which is where we will start, the nearest train station is Hope. There is plenty of accommodation in the area, such as hostels, campsites and B&Bs, please let me know if you need any recommendations. We can assist with pickups from local accommodation, for those that are using public transport.

Travel to and from the event and accommodation are not included.

We will meet in at 06:30am and hope to be back at our meeting point by 11am, however, this is an estimate.
